Liptember Looks: Bright Blue Eyeliner Pop

Hey Everyone,

Today I have my first look for Liptember, yay! As you may know, September is the time for Liptember, a campaign to raise awareness of women's mental health and raise money for charities.

Today I kicked it off with some bright orange lips that are out of my comfort zone completely. I decided to pair it with a warm neutral eyes with a bright pop of electric blue eyeliner to kick it up a notch and make this look really fun!

Tutorial: "The Last Unicorn" Inspired Look

HeyEveryone,

Sorry there has been such a long pause between my tutorials and post on this blog. Sadly a few weeks ago we had a loss in the family with the passing of my Grandfather and I really haven't been in the mood to sit down in front of a computer or camera to work. His passing didn't come as a shock, but it was just really really sad moment as it was 6 months and 5 days after the passing of his wife and losing both my grandparents in such a short time really got to me.

This look was inspired by one of my favorite movies from my childhood, "The Last Unicorn". I was really inspired by the cool tones in the movie to create a feminine and magical look.

The main inspiration for this look is the colours in Amalthea's dress and silver hair as well as the colours of the Unicorn. They both seemed to have a glowing look to them which is what I tried to create with the eye shadows.

Tutorial: Tequila Sunrise Look

Hey Everybody!

Today I have a really bright makeup look to share with you. It is currently really cold here in Melbourne and I am really over this winter weather so I wanted to cheer myself up with some really bright and warm tone makeup and this is what I came up with.

After filming this tutorial I realized that this look reminded me of a Tequila Sunrise with the gradient of yellow to orange. I decided to add a little bit of glitter to the inner corner of the eye to give it a little bit more of a playful effect, as the look was mostly matte.

The Sugarpill eye shadows were perfect for this look, bright and pigmented! I have found that Buttercupcake, the bright matte yellow, can sometimes not come out as vividly as I would like so I decided to use a yellow gel liner from Inglot Cosmetics as a base to help the colour stand out more.

Weekly Diary Decoration: July 14th - July 20th

Hey everyone,

This week I decided to decorate my yellow personal sized Original Filofax with something really cure and cheery. I've decided that this week is the new beginning week where I will start doing more of the things that I used to do before I took my break from the blogging world, so bright and cheery is hopefully my outlook for this week.

As my planner pages I have been using the DIY Fish Version 2.1 with day on 2 pages to help me better organize my time.

I decided to use some cute duck washi that I purchased at a local 2 Dollar store combined with some thin yellow washi for a bright layout. I have been using my light blue and black Frixion pens to write my appointments, notes and to dos. I prefer using the Frixion pens as they are earasable and allow me to change my appointments instead of using whiteout

I further decorate my pages with stamps from Studio L2E and Kaisercraft and ink which I purchased from my local Spotlight. I also like to include daily quotes, something inspiration to get me through the day

..:: ITEMS USED ::..
- duck washi tape (local $2 Store)
- thin yellow washi (ebay)
- "List It" and "Plan It" stamp sets (Studio L2E)
- Weekdays stamp set (Kaisercraft)
- star stamp from Polaroid stamp set (Kaisercraft)
- Versa Color "19 Cyan" pigment ink
- cear stamp block (Spotlight)

Where the hell have I been???

Ladies and Gentlemen!

I would like to announce my return to blogging! After a three month absence a lot of things have changed in my personal life and I would like to start getting back into posting on a regular basis on my blog and Youtube channel.

I have had the last three months to decide in which direction I would like to take the content of this blog and here is the schedule of posts I have decided on:

Monday - Weekly Diary Layout:
You all know that before my unannounced temporary abandonment of this blog, I began posting photos of my dairy and how I like to decorate it for weekly use? Well those posts will continue. Each Monday I will be posting photos of my decorations for the week, what I used etc

Wednesday - Tutorial Post:
I am planning on having a new tutorial posted every Wednesday. These tutorials will have a similar layout to my previous posts complete with products used and a video which will be posted to my Youtube channel as well

Friday - Nails:
My Friday posts will be reserved for nails, this could be anything from a photo tutorial, Nails of the Day post to a review of products I have received recently.

There will also be hauls, reviews and Face of the Day posts made on any given day. My aim is to be posting to my blog at least three times a week.

I want to say thank you to those who have stuck around with me while I was absent and I hope you enjoy the new posts that I will begin sharing with you from here on.

Have a great day!

Week In View: March 31st - April 6th

Hey Ladies,

Today I have another Week In View post to share with you how I decorated my diary pages in my large Kikki K mint planner for the week ahead.

This week my mum will be celebrating her birthday so I decided to use a lot of green as it is her favorite colour. She is also quite partial to glitter and fairies so I included some of those too

Left
I used two types of washi tape to decorate these pages. The first is a solid green with pink, purple, yellow and blue polkadots. This tape came in a packet of 16 from Spotlight. The second washi tape I used is a teal green and clear stripe washi from Kaiser Craft. I cut it in half and applied them so that they created an unconnected chevron point toward the centre of the pages.

Right
The stickers that I used in this page were purchased from the Reject shop. My mother really loves glitter and fairies and I thought these were absolutely perfect. The glitter on these stickers is an irridescent green, which is my mum's favorite colour

As extra writing space for my "To Do" and "Awesome thing that happened this week" lists, I added in a lined 6 x 4 Project Life journal card which I decorated with the same stickers from the Reject Shop. I also added a 3 x 4 journal card from the Kaiser Craft "Favorite Things" set which says "Never Forget Today" because I never want to forget my mother's birthday (if I did I would be in BIG trouble!).

On the back of the card I wrote one of her favorite quotes, it reads:
"A diamond is a piece of charcoal that handled stress exceptionally well. Dream, Sparkle, Shine and never give up" - Unknown

I included this quote because my mothers favorite gem stone is a diamond and it is also her birth stone, so I thought it would be nice to include a little sentiment like that

Week In View: March 24th - March 30th

Hey Ladies,

I have another Week In View post for my decorated diary pages to share with you today. This week I decided to go with a pink and purple cat theme. For the past two weeks I have been "kitty sitting" Tippy, one of the kittens that we found under the daisy bush in our yard a few weeks ago. Well today she gets to go home with her mummy and I thought I would decorate my pages for the occasion.

I know that my pages look fairly blank when I start to show them to you but I really don't like sharing all of my appointments and things with the public as some of them are quite personal. Anyway, onto the photos!

Left
For these pages I use three types of washi tape that I purchased from Spotlight. Two of the tapes, the purple chevron and the pink spotted, came in sets of 16 tapes. I cut the pink spotted tape in half so I could use it to separate the days. I then applied a strip of purple heart washi tape along the top of the page

Right
The stickers that I used for these pages were purchased from Reject shop. I really love the little "Purrr...", "I <3 and="" are="" as="" butterfly="" cats="" cute="" flower="" i="" p="" so="" stickers="" the="" they="" think="">
Add ons and To do list
As I said in my last Week to View post, I like to add little journal cards for decoration and added spaces to write out To Do lists. For this week I used a journal card from the Kaiser Craft "Happy Days" set which says "Celebrate the Little Things", which is something I forget to do.

I also added my usual 6 x 4 lined Project Life journal card so I can write out anything I need to remember this week and also the positives that happen. I decorated it with some more of the cat stickers that I used on these pages.

NOTD - Kikki K Mint Dayplanner Inspired Nails

Hey Ladies,

Today I have a gorgeous Nail of the Day post to share with you, but first a little back story into what inspired it!

If you have been following me on my Instagram account you should know by now that I recently purchased a large mint dayplanner from Kikki K to help get myself organized and be able to start posting more on my bog and Youtube.

I have had organizers before and had used them in the past for blog organization but sadly the planner brand that I had stopped producing the week to two pages refills in the desk size planner I was using and I hadn't been able to find a new source. Enter my discovery of the Kikki K mint dayplanner! I found this through one of the girls in the Aussie Nails Facebook page and really wanted to get my hands on it.

This pretty mint with gold dots planner is what has inspired my nails for today.

For this manicure I used two coats of China Glaze "Refresh Mint", a gorgeous mint creme finish polish from the Up and Away Collection [2010]. The application of this polish is beautiful and it applies nicely to the nail.

I then decided that I wanted to stamp a design in gold onto each of the nails. Originally I was going to go with a dotted design to exactly match the planner, but I ended up changing my mind to a script image from the MoYou Pro Collection image plate 07. I stamped this image using China Glaze "Passion", a gorgeous pale gold chrome from the Romantiques Collection [2009]

..:: ITEMS USED ::..
Duri Rejuvacoat base coat (1 coat)
OPI Original Nail Envy (1 coat)
China Glaze "Refresh Mint" (2 coats)
China Glaze "Passion" (stamping)
MoYou Pro Collection 07
Stamper and scraper
Seche Vite top coat (1 coat)

As you can see from the images with my planner, "Refresh Mint" has a little bit more of a yellow tone to it than the planner itself, but it was the closest polish that I had to the colour. I had previously tried China Glaze "For Audrey" but it was a little too dark.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this inspired manicure. I have really gotten into organizing and decorating my dayplanner so I may be showing it to you in a little while to show you how I organize my time.
