I am a HUGE fan of holographic nail polish, I can't get enough of it. The only thing is, I don't earn enough money to be able to curb my hungry for this awesome finish of nail polish. This post will display my current collection of holographic nail polish, all of which is by China Glaze from the OMG Collection. Without further ado, on to the swatches!
L8R G8R is a light lime green holographic with more of a yellow tone to it. The holographic rainbow in this polish seems to have a more yellow base tone to it, not a lot of purple or pink unlike some of the other colours from this collection.
Well, there you have it, my holographic polishes. I am only missing two polishes out of the OMG collection but I never really liked the look of FYI which is a neutral taupe holographic or TTYL which is similar to TMI except it has more of an orange base to it, but those two colours look so similar I didn't see the sense in having them both.
2NITE is a medium silver holographic with a blue tinge to it. Some people call it just a blue colour but I think one of those smokey rain-filled cloud silvers.
BFF is a medium nudey natural pink holographic colour. In some lights it kind of seems like a bit of a peach to me. The holographic rainbow in this polish has more of a warmer undertone than some other polishes in this collection.
DV8 is a medium teal holographic and the favorite in my collection. The base colour of this polish is somewhat similar to China Glaze "Shower Together".
GR8 is a warm yellow gold holographic and from what I can tell was the lest favorite of most when the collection came out. Even though the collection came out in 2008 and has since been discontinued, you can still find this colour on some of the nail polish e-tailers.
IDK is a lavender purple holographic with a slight silvery tinge to in. The holographic rainbow in this polish has a bit more blue base to it but the red reflection is more striking than some of the other holographic reflections.
LOL is a more deeper tone blue purple holographic that IDK. Because of the deepness of this colour the holographic reflection of this polish isn't as striking in some of the other polishes.
OMG is a pale silver holographic with the most stunning rainbow holographic reflection than the other polishes, none of the colours in the rainbow reflect more, they are all even.
QT is a berry pink holographic with more of the warm tone rainbow holographic reflection, there isn't much evidence of blue or greens in its holo reflection.
TMI is a coral red holographic and next to DV8 it is my favorite in the OMG collection. I don't have very many coral polishes although it is one of my favorite colours of polish to wear because its nice to brighten up the hands.
